Product Development
Our design process is based on the first-time-right principle. After the production of the initial prototypes, the product can be directly included in the production of the series. This drastically reduces the time-to-market.
We have adopted a structural approach to design. During each of the three phases, there is a strong emphasis on quality and productivity.
Specification Phase > Engineering Design Phase > Qualification Phase
Specification Phase
In cooperation with the customer, the product specifications are determined. The customer requirements are translated into a detailed, clear and univocal specification document. Subsequently, this document is reviewed by the customer. This iterative process between Prodrive and the customer leads to an optimal product specification concerning: technical feasibility, cost price and reliability.

Engineering Design Phase
In addition to a detailed worst-case design, the following techniques are applied in the design process:
| -Simulation - Thermal/Mechanical - Electric - Algorithm - FMEA - Design for Six Sigma - Design for realibility (MTBF) - IPC Conformity |

Qualification Phase
The qualification phase is an important phase in which specification and design verification take place.
|
- Functional qualification
- CE, UL/CSA, IEC60950
compliancy
- EMC Compliancy
- HALT (Highly Accelerated
Life Testing)
- Thermal Verification
