Prodrive has already installed a sophisticated system based on underground thermal energy storage in its new building. This system reuses excess heat generated in its production environment by storing it in 90m depth underground and take it out when the building requires heat due to lower outside temperatures. At this moment the first energy generating windmill has been installed and taken into operation on the roof of the building. The windmill incorporates control and power electronics being developed and manufactured by Prodrive.
